Pelltech Expertise

Pelltech OÜ is a company specialised in the development, manufacture and sale of pellet burners and boilers. Founded in 2006 by two pioneers, Aavo Isak and Priit Kotli, Pelltech has grown to become the largest and most trusted firm in the Baltic countries in the domain of pellet burning equipment and renewable energy. Our assembly line, engineering department and administrative offices, staffed by 25 employees, are conveniently situated near Tallinn Airport.

New ideas for the near future

1999
HOW IT ALL STARTED

Aavo Isak started selling Swedish pellet burners as a retailer in Estonia in 1999, Priit Kotli was his first customer. Being driven by the desire to implement more sustainable heating systems locally, their relationship evolved into a partnership with the aim to cater for the specific needs of Estonian market.
2004
OWN PELLET FACTORY
The demand for pellet burners was growing, but supply of pellets for local market was getting insufficient. Best solution for that seamed to be to start an own pellet factory. Very soon a company called Pelletiveski OÜ was created and pellet production started. As the aim was to develop renewable heating sector in the region, all of the production was sold domestically.

FIRST BURNER

The ideas, how a pellet burner could be even better from so many aspects and easily replace an oil burner, started to come into men´s heads. Next step was developing their own pellet burner, new and more efficient, easy to install into oil boilers. The initial prototyping phase took several months and many late nights. As a result the first burner was rolled out by the end of 2005.

PELLTECH OÜ

Now it was clear that there is a need to create a company and start the serial production for best pellet burners in the world. Pelltech OÜ was officially registered in June 2006.

DEVOTED IN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
First 20 and 30 kW burners turned out to be very successful, which inspired us to devote even more in product development for 50 and 100 kW burners. The factory expanded in size by setting up new premises for the warehouse, welding room and assembly line. Not not long after, the industrial burner line was introduced.
2009 - 2012
YEARS OF FAST GROWTH
In the beginning of 2009 we participated in our first foreign exhibition, ISH Frankfurt, which we can consider as a kick-off for worldwide export. We collected a lot of feedback, promptly improved our burners according to market demand and expanded the range of products with bigger capacities. The growing popularity of pellet heatig and reputation of Pelltech burners lead to distributing partners all over the world.

2009 - 2012
2013
NEW FACTORY
Since the engineering and manufacturing department grew in size and overall production volume increased, a new modern factory house had to be built. This allowed us to recruit even more personnel and have better conditions for developing, testing and manufacturing new products.
2014
THE FIRST BOILER
The market was changing – people started to replace the whole heating system, not anymore only the burner. Of course we wanted to offer our customers a full, comfortable solution for pellet heating, but as we were not able to find perfect boiler for our burners, it was essential step to develop also our own boilers with a perfect match with our burners. At first boilers from 20-50 kW were engineered and not long after 100-160 kW boilers were added to the Everclean family.

2017-2018
ANOTHER STEP FURTHER
Market is changing even more – passive and near-zero energy houses grow in popularity, smaller and more compact heating units were preferred. First in its family, a 3-15 kW compact boiler was developed, combining a pellet boiler, burner and a storage all in one unit. From other side, in industrial sector more powerful pellet burners were required, therefore 1,5 MW burner was developed to industrial burners family.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Pelltech burners and boilers have spread to most European countries and the company has strong ties with partners across the globe. We continue to invest in product development in order to expand the product catalogue and improve user experience. Very soon you will see something new from our side 🙂
